Culinary Arts Program

 

Culinary Arts is a course of study designed to provide students with the opportunity to reach competency in major areas of food preparation. Students will learn to work in all areas of the culinary field such as cooking, baking, dining room operations and management controls. They will learn to work individually, in groups, and in a professional kitchen brigade. We will take particular interest in food safety and students will be expected to acquire certification in food handling. Culinary Arts will culminate in a school-based enterprise or by being employed at a food service facility. Our initial school-based enterprise involves both the selling of food to students and faculty at lunch as well as offering catering services to the public.
