Emmett Idaho students win at National SkillsUSA Championships

Five Emmett students attending Payette River Technical Academy were awarded medals for their efforts at the SkillsUSA national championship competition in Louisville, Kentucky June 20-24.  Justin Heck and Chris Dagher took gold medals in the Additive Manufacturing category while Miguel Bautista, Tobias Demaray, and Robert Parks Jr. earned the silver medal in the Engineering Technology/Design competition.  These students won in competitions against thousands of America’s best and brightest college students competing in competitive events.

As part of the reward for their efforts the two teams earned a combined $56,000 in scholarships and continuing education awards.
